| Composition : |
Each vial contains Esomeprazole 40 mg powder for solution for injection/infusion |
| Indications : |
Gastric antisecretory treatment when the oral route is not possible, such as:
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in patients with oesophagitis and/or severe symptoms of reflux
- Healing of gastric ulcers associated with NSAID therapy
- Prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with NSAID therapy, in patients at risk.
- Prevention of re-bleeding following therapeutic endoscopy for acute bleeding gastric or duodenal ulcers.

| Contraindications : |
In patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation or to substituted benzimidazoles (angioedema and anaphylaxis have occurred).

| Adverse Effects : |
Either 20 mg or 40 mg esomeprazole given once daily by intravenous injection (no less than 3 minutes) or intravenous infusion (10 minutes to 30 minutes). |

Headache, Flatulence, Nausea, Abdominal pain, Diarrhea, Dizziness/vertigo, Constipation, Injection site reaction, Drying of mouth, Pruritus
