Artemether for Injection 80 mg/amp |
| Composition : |
Each ampoule contains 80 mg Artemether /1 ml |
| Indications : |
Chloroquine sensitive, chloroquine resistant and multidrug resistant falciparum malaria and severe malaria including cerebral malaria. |
| Contraindications : |
Patient with cardiac problems and pregnancy for longer use. |
| Adverse Effects : |
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, bradycardia, first degree heart block, transient increase in transaminases, reversible decrease in reticulocyte count. |
| Dosage : |
A 5 day 80 mg IM dose regimen should be followed, Twice on day one and once a day for the remaining period.
